What’s Involved with BodyTite for Men?
BodyTite is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat stubborn fat and excess skin. BodyTite can be used for larger or multiple areas in the operating room, or for smaller or solitary areas in the office. Dr. Timothy Janiga numbs the area first using tumescent anesthesia, then makes a small port site in the targeted area before inserting a small wand under the skin.
Unlike traditional liposuction, loose skin is also treated along with excess fat cells. As Dr. Janiga moves the device over the target area, radiofrequency energy generated through the wand melts away fat while tightening the skin. BodyTite is FDA-approved to achieve 30-35% tighter skin in the treated area. The procedure takes about one to two hours per area treated.

Men can expect some mild discomfort for one to five days after their BodyTite treatment. Depending on your profession, you may be able to return to desk and phone work within a day or two. Men who have more physical professions may want to take a week off to allow for swelling to improve before resuming vigorous physical activity. Dr. Janiga will walk you through what to expect during your initial customized consultation. You can expect to see noticeable slimming soon after your procedure with continued skin tightening for up to a year after BodyTite.
