What is an In-Office Facelift?
Looking to reverse the effects of sagging skin without a full facelift? You’re in luck. An in-office facelift, also referred to as a “mini-facelift” or “weekend facelift,” is a cosmetic procedure performed in our Reno office and is a less involved version of the full facelift.
Because the earliest signs of facial aging like loose skin begin in the mid and lower face, an in-office facelift can help reverse the effects of age, gravity, and/or weight loss by removing excess skin in the face and neck, tightening the deeper structures to give you a more youthful yet natural appearance. With small incisions and reduced tissue removal, a mini facelift procedure stands out as a less invasive procedure than the standard facelift surgery.
At Janiga MDs, we offer a variety of additional popular procedures that can be performed in conjunction with both a traditional facelift and mini facelifts to better correct sagging skin. These include Laser Resurfacing, Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty), Lip Lift, Fillers, and Kybella.
The Procedure
An in-office facelift is performed at our Reno office in our dedicated procedure room using local anesthesia. Topical numbing medication is used to help numb the skin prior to injecting the local anesthetic. Incisions are made in front of the ear and around the earlobe before the excess skin of the face and neck are elevated, tightened and repositioned into a more youthful position.
The procedure takes approximately one hour, with most patients able to go home immediately afterward.

Recovery & Results
Mild swelling and bruising are common following the procedure. Depending on your profession and need for personal discretion, you may need to allow one to two weeks before returning to work. Stitches are typically removed seven to ten days after surgery. Full results are expected within three months.
After an in-office facelift, you should expect a more defined face, neck and jawline, resulting in a more youthful and rested appearance. Firmer, smoother skin along with a decrease in deep wrinkles can also be expected.
