What are Silicone Breast Implants?
Designed to provide a natural and uniform shape and feel for women seeking breast augmentation, silicone implants are filled with a soft, silicone gel and are available in variety of shapes and sizes. Unlike saline implants, silicone implants are all pre-filled. Breast augmentation can also restore breast size and shape after pregnancy, breastfeeding, massive weight loss or from the natural aging process.
The Procedure
A breast augmentation with silicone implants is performed by Dr. Timothy Janiga in an outpatient surgery center using general anesthesia. As with saline implants, the surgery usually involves an incision under the crease of the breast, around the bottom of the areola, or in the armpit. Dr. Janiga then places the silicone implant under the muscle or breast gland.
This procedure takes one hour with another one to two hours of recovery time before going home.

Recovery & Results
Swelling and bruising may last up to three weeks. Return to work can be expected within five to seven days depending on your line of work. You should expect to fuller breasts with a natural and proportionate look for your body. Full results are expected within three months.
