What is Sofwave?
Sofwave is an FDA-approved skin-lifting treatment that uses Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB) technology to stimulate collagen deep in the skin. The heat kickstarts the body’s natural healing response and stimulates collagen production to address mild to moderate skin laxity, acne scarring, and reduce lines and wrinkles on the face, neck, and body.
Sofwave includes an integrated cooling mechanism to protect the outer layers of the skin and increase comfort during the treatment. This allows more effective and safe treatments.
Who is a Good Candidate for Sofwave?
Men and women who are looking to lift and tighten loose skin around the face, neck, arms, or knees and those that would like to reduce fine lines/wrinkles or improve acne scarring are good candidates for Sofwave. The non-invasive treatment works on all skin types and skin tones and is FDA-approved for:

Sofwave treatment is typically done in one treatment session for the face and neck, while tougher problems like acne scarring and arm lifting may require more treatments depending on severity. Sofwave is not meant for patients who have any electrical devices or metal implants in or near the face (like a cochlear implant).
The Sofwave Procedure
Some areas will have numbing medication applied for 30 minutes prior to procedure. Once numbing medication is removed, your provider will start by cleansing the treatment area. The Sofwave handpiece will then be applied to the skin. Most patients feel a warming sensation during treatment, there may be some discomfort felt at the end of the pulse which varies by patient. Treatment can take up to 45 minutes per area, depending on the treatment area, so a face and neck will be 60-90 min for a full treatment.
Results & Recovery
There is little to no downtime after Sofwave therapy. You may notice some swelling or redness, but those side effects typically subside within a day. Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment.
Initial results may be visible after 1-2 weeks, with full results taking up to three months as collagen production increases. After three months, patients notice tighter, firmer skin and fewer lines and wrinkles.
