The Bellafill® Procedure

Bellafill® contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to help make the treatment as comfortable as possible. During the procedure itself, Bellafill® is injected into the treatment area(s) using a fine, small needle. This process usually only takes about 15-20 minutes to complete and is easily tolerated by patients.

While some patients can see great results with just one treatment session, some individuals (especially when treating acne scars) may require two to three treatment sessions for optimal results.

Results & Recovery

Following a Bellafill® treatment, patients may experience mild redness, swelling, and sensitivity, which will resolve with time. Some patients may also feel a slight firmness in the treatment area, which is temporary.

Bellafill® is FDA-approved to smooth smile lines and acne scars for up to five years. This is much longer than hyaluronic acid fillers due to the unique treatment mechanism of Bellafill®’s formula.
