What is Cellulite?
Cellulite is a common, unwanted condition that affects up to 75% of women and 10% of men. Cellulite usually occurs on the buttocks and/or the thighs due to fibrous bands in the connective tissue, between layers of fat tissue, that pull down on the skin and cause that dimpling effect.
Cellulite can be graded on a scale from 0 to 3:
- Grade 0 – no dimpling when the skin is squeezed
- Grade 1 – no dimpling when standing but dimpling when the skin is squeezed
- Grade 2 – dimpling visible when standing but not while laying down
- Grade 3 – dimpling occurs when standing or lying down
How to Treat Cellulite With a Minimally Invasive Procedure
Despite frequent requests for simple, non-invasive or minimally invasive treatments to fix cellulite, finding ways to consistently reduce cellulite has been an elusive “holy grail” in cosmetic medicine for decades. Technologies for many other types of skin concerns have continued to advance but many cellulite treatments thus far have been mediocre at best.
In the past, the treatments for cellulite have been expensive and more invasive than would otherwise be desired. The most consistent and effective treatment for cellulite would be with a laser treatment, utilizing a surgical probe inserted under the skin to surgically sever the fibers of connective tissue.
Fortunately, there is a minimally invasive technique that Janiga MDs utilizes for cellulite reduction: EVOLVEX.
What is EVOLVEX?
EVOLVEX is a noninvasive method of reducing cellulite with radio-frequency technology. This clinically proven method significantly reduces the appearance of cellulite with your body’s own natural recovery process.

The Procedure
EVOLVEX uses a combination of radio-frequency and deep tissue heating to synergistically tighten the skin and improve cellulite. There is a warming sensation of the skin, but this is a comfortable procedure with most people experiencing very little discomfort.
EVOLVEX is commonly used to treat the thighs, buttocks, or abdomen, but can be used in other areas as well. A package of sessions is recommended for best results and these results are long-lasting for the areas treated. As you develop more laxity or cellulite as you age more treatments may be desired to maintain your smoothed skin.
Results and Recovery
Patients will notice a small amount of redness in the treated area which will subside after a few hours. There is no downtime with EVOLVEX, so you can go right back to work and regular activities right away.
